Kelly and I had our 30 week appointment yesterday! The Dr said everything looks good and that we're progressing well. She scheduled another ultrasound for 34 weeks. I'm excited to get to see our little one again. He is definitely getting bigger! My stomach can tell that. He should be somewhere around 3-3.5lbs and about 16 inches long. He is still breech but turns often. The Dr said she isn't worried about it and will check it again at 36 weeks and then we'll talk about our options if he's still breech. I guess they can turn him or we can have a c-section. I'd prefer the turning! I'm praying for no c-section!
This weekend we had fun shopping for Jackson at San Marcos at Nautica, Tommy, and Polo. I got the cutest swim trunks and surf shirt!!! It's hard to find cute boys clothes here in Oklahoma with only Gymboree, Gap, and Old Navy. So I took advantage of all the stores San Marcos had to offer!! Kelly even bought me a Movado watch! Now I have a watch kinda like him! I have such a good husband!
This week was laundry week. I washed all Jackson's clothes from newborn through 3-6 months and left the rest with tags just in case he doesn't grow as quickly as I would think! I am still working on the last bumper but now have 3 complete. I have sewn the front of the valance together and just have to cut and sew in the lining fabric. Then I'm waiting on the second layer fabric to be shipped! I'm almost there and will be so relieved to have the room complete!
This weekend we're meeting Ashlea and Bill for a birthday lunch for Bill in Davis, OK. Apparently there is a good bbq place there! I'll tell you how it is. I'm also organizing a shower and making cupcakes for a girl at church who is due 2 days before me with a little boy named Eli Grey. Hopefully she likes it and many people attend! Kelly and I will head to Iowa in 2 weeks for our first baby shower! I can't hardly wait to get to visit everyone! It will be so much fun. Of course the 9 hour car ride might be a little difficult but hopefully it goes smoothly!
Well I'll take photos when the bedding is complete. Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend!

New Photos

The bedding photos with the bedskirt finished!!! Grandma, Mom, and I worked today to sew the bedskirt. It took a little longer than expected but what do you think?!!

This is a picture of the bumper that took 2.5 hours to complete! Notice I still haven't sewn the other 3. I am going to see what I can do this weekend on them. We'll see if I can find the time to complete them.
Kelly and I picked up our glider at Babies R Us when we saw it was on sale! I made the little accent pillow. Jackson and I have been rocking in this chair reading stories every night! Tonight we picked up a new book of Curious George stories to read.Thursday, May 14, 2009
12 weeks and counting...
This Friday we get to have our 4d ultrasound!!! I can’t wait. I’ve been not able to drink anything besides water for an entire week and 64 oz of it at that! Do you know how many bathroom trips that requires?!!! I will be relieved when I can actually have some juice or perhaps a caffeine free coke… This week I have been working on the crib bumpers. I spent all of Monday evening on 1 of the small bumpers. I really thought I’d be more efficient but apparently I wasn’t gifted with the speed of Martha Stewart. Nevertheless the one I have completed looks good! We also steamed the thermal curtain panels and pinned them for hemming. I have yet to sew them but I will this weekend!
Tuesday, Kelly and I headed to our first childbirth class. It lasted from 7-10pm. Which if you know Kelly and that we get up at 5am you’ll understand why the last 30 minutes were pretty tough to stay awake! So we’ve been behind for the rest of the week on sleep but we’re beginning to catch up! During the class we had to learn how to change a diaper. When it was Kelly’s turn he took off the diaper and looked at it and said quietly to me, “these are tiny”! Apparently he’d never seen a newborn diaper! I said well how do you think 92 fit in that box of diapers we bought? I said they fit up to 8 lbs (and ours will probably be around 6-7lbs. Kelly was a stellar student in class answering a question correctly that apparently no one had ever gotten right! I was pretty proud of my husband! So now that we know how to properly bath our baby, change his diaper, and the appropriate toys we should be ready for parenthood… Well at least we feel a little more prepared! It certainly made it seem more real to us.
Wednesday night after teaching the 3 year old class I once again cleaned up the nursery and the house with Kelly’s help. I still have some work to do but it looks at least presentable! Tonight is a bumper night after we have Mom and Dad over for dinner and fun family time! We’ll see if I can beat my 2.5 hour record for 1 bumper!!! And Friday it’s off to Grandma’s with Mom to work on sewing the bed skirt! I’m so excited to be getting all the pieces together for the bedding. It will be so nice to have it ready to go.

I will have pictures to update after tomorrow!! I will take some of the nursery to that I have been promising! We'll see if I can get Kelly to take one of my ever growing self to post as well! Have a great rest of the week everyone!

27 week Dr. Visit!
Yesterday we went to our 27 week appointment! It was the last monthly appointment before the every 2 week appointments start... Oh what fun, going to the dr every other Friday! It will be a pain but worth it in the end. So at the appointment the nurse was using the doppler device to find Jackson's heartbeat. We've decided he doesn't like this machine because he always kicks it every time she moves it. Well apparently he's a little stronger than he was last appointment cause he decided to actually kick the doppler and the nurses hand off my stomach! It was really funny! Kelly laughed pretty hard after seeing it happen. I wasn't kidding when I said our little guy is a kicker! Then the doctor came in and told us all about the warning signs of labor and when to come to the hospital and when to wait. She asked me if I'd remember them and I said normally yes but lately my memory is shot! She informed me her technical term for short term memory loss is "Pregmentia" We had a good laugh but it really is aggravating to not have my brain anymore! She said I was measuring small which meant I would have a small baby and that she wasn't surprised seeing both the parents! We also got word that I passed my glucose test!!! Which I am so thankful for! I didn't want to have to do the 3 hour test...
That was our official checkup yesterday. All is well in the Killian Life, just working on completing the nursery! Cutting fabric and getting ready to sew! I can't wait to get the bedding complete. Hope everyone is doing well! We think about you all often and pray for you all daily!
