As of today, I have 62 days remaining! I can hardly wait till he's here! Not only so I can have my body back but also to meet him finally!
Today I'll tell a story on my wonderful hubby! Saturday night Kelly called me from our house, while I was at our house and asked me on a date! He's a romantic at heart! Of course I quickly said yes! We went out for non raw sushi at our favorite place Saii! On the way to the restaurant Kelly looks at me and says "I'm tired of being pregnant!" I laughed really hard and said, "Really? I wish I could take that burden from you!" It was so out of the blue and realizing how it sounded he quickly added, "I'm just really ready for Jackson to be here. I'm tired of waiting!!" What a great husband I have been blessed with. It still makes me laugh to tell the story. And they say kids say the darnedest things!
Speaking of kids, Kelly and I have been assisting with the 3 year old class at church this quarter. They all seem to be infatuated with my being pregnant. I must be getting larger cause I seem to be getting more comments about "Jackson's growth spurt" Of course I can tell as my tummy skin is much tighter. But this is part of pregnancy right? Back to the story... One of our three year olds, named Waylan, after looking confused at me for few minutes said "What happened to you belly?" ,according to Kelly, I didn't hear what he said so I asked him to repeat himself at which point he said "Why you belly so big?" Kelly died laughing and I politely answered with, "Well Waylan there is a baby in there" After talking about the baby's name he was satisfied with my answer and went back to his coloring. Kelly just had to tell everyone what Waylan said! Kids do say the darnedest things!!
This weekend Tricia and Jesse are coming in to visit. We are all getting together for bbq from Little Rock that they are bringing and then heading to the lake to help Mom and Dad move in some furniture and whatever else they need! It should be an exciting weekend. Then next weekend it's off north for our first baby shower! I can't wait... You know me and my planning and begin prepared I like to have everything purchased and ready to go. It's been really hard to wait on stuff on our registry!! I've already made a list of the necessities that if they aren't fulfilled we'll go and pick up! I am pretty sure I have a mild form of OCD. It's not like I open doors 3 times or anything but I do like to feel prepared by making shopping lists and budgets and task lists. I have to feel like I am not forgetting things! Crazy I know. With "pregmentia" as my dr calls it I tend to forget so I think this is the only way I am surviving! I think this week I have been to either Walmart or Homeland 7 times. Yes that is more than once a day on average. This is due to a mixture of forgetting things and changing plans for cooking. Lets just say I'm hoping my average next week is negative since I love Walmart sooo much!
I want to ask for special prayers for my Grandma in this post. Her macular degeneration has worsened and she has now lost vision in her good eye and can't see anything clearly. I cannot imagine how hard this would be. We are praying that they get the bleeding stopped and that the eyesight improves. Please pray also that she gets strength and comfort only God can provide and that as her family we'll know how to help best. Thanks everyone.
Well I'd better get back to it! I have much to finish before the end of the day! Have a great weekend!!!
That is soo sweet! Maybe we should have planned your baby shower sooner! I hate I am going to miss it. I will be on the road to Branson..... I knows it will be great. And don't worry I think we got everything on our list when we had Owen..... Take care.
