16 weeks and counting...

Today marks 16 weeks and I am no longer able to suck in my “belly”. I woke up this morning and while I was getting ready looked in the mirror and then yelled to Kelly “It’s bigger… L” He said, “Were you expecting to be thin through your whole pregnancy?” We both had a good laugh and then Kelly took a picture for the blog. Ignore the lack of makeup, but here is the first “belly” pic. Of course in my conservative style of fully clothed!

I promised earlier some pictures of the stuff I got at Affair of the Heart. Here they are.
This is the Diaper Bag Kelly’s mom got for us! Damask is my favorite!! I love it and can’t wait to be able to use it!

I got this picture first and loved the saying. This one will sit in our living room on the piano. I’m excited to finally be able to have “family” photos around our house! It makes it so much more of a home.
My friend, Jenni’s Aunt found my favorite decorative item for the room so far! It’s a wooden wall hanging that has a shelf for booties, picture frame, or any keepsake you want to sit on it. The quotation is my favorite part. Warning: it may cause tears from mothers!!

Here is also a picture of the nursery as it stands today. We got the crib at a boutique here. I had seen it before finding out we were pregnant. It was a floor model used in a parade home for a week so it was discounted as an open item! It retails for around 1000 dollars and we got it for only 375. Not too shabby. After we found out we were pregnant at Thanksgiving, I told Kelly we needed to go pick it up if it was still there! So we did the day after Thanksgiving and hid the pieces under our guest bed until we were going to tell people at the end of January. What do you think? I’m still looking for the dresser but I have some time for that!!

Only 2 weeks 6 days till we find out what we’re having!! I’m not excited at all am I??!!

  1. The crib is beautiful! We found our dresser at Mathis Brothers. We bought a long dresser so that we could put a changing pad on top and so that it would be big enough to 'grow' with him. Believe it or not we actually saved money not getting a "baby" dresser and buying an "adult" dresser.

  2. We did the same thing as Phyllis! I'm so glad we made that decision.

I love the diaper bag and the decor items you found. Yes, you were right. I definitely got teary eyed when I read the last one. Very sweet! You look great Cristi!
